The 2016 Summer Ink camp season brought together 120 middle and high school campers from Boston, Greater Boston, and beyond to explore the city, engage in exciting activities, make new friends, and practice writing skills. We had a blast! New this summer: Simmons campers sailed on the Roseway, a tall ship, where they had a chance to climb the rigging and sit the bowsprit — hair-raising activities that campers wrote about in their journals. We started the day with some community building activities like the human knot, when we all worked together to untangle.
You can learn more about the activities and experiences of our campers when they read aloud from their work at our annual Fall Reading on Sunday, October 16, 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. at Brookline Booksmith. This special event is free and open to the public.
