Over 100 excited Summer Ink campers, along with family and friends, gathered at Brookline Booksmith on October 25th to read aloud from their writing. Part celebration and part reunion, the Summer Ink Fall Reading showcases campers’ work and helps us fulfill our mission to give students the conviction that the world wants to hear them. Topics of the journal entries and longer essays ranged from canoeing on the Charles to climbing cliffs at Hammond Pond to making pasta at Future Chefs. The powerful writing, full of sensory detail, dialogue, and vivid imagery, brought alive the excitement and spontaneity of last summer when campers clearly found their voices.
Every 2015 family received a copy of the Summer Ink Collection. Learn more about the Collection and to view a pdf.
