Boom, Pop, Pow. The sounds of the small studio float through the air and flow into my ears. The man takes four or five lighting fast bounds across the floor. He plants the long wooden shaft and soars high into the air with incredible balance and calm. He seems to hang there for eternity, or maybe it was just a few second, then he finally goes over the top and lands with a soft thud on the hard wooden floor of the studio. He then lifts the shaft and begins to twirl it between his fingers. He is so skilled he is able to move it lightning fast, left, right, center, left, right, center, over and over moving so fast we can barely see it. It seems so effortless, like he is twirling a toothpick or coffee stirrer between his fingers not a long heavy wooden stick. He makes it seems like the wood is flowing between his fingers like cloth. There is just constant motion and it is so effortless. Finally he catches it with his free hand and plants it on the ground and takes a bow. The show is complete.
